The Gold Coast Tri - Luke Harrop Memorial is now the SERIES GRAND FINAL to the 2009/10 Gatorade Queensland Tri Series, set at the newly developed Broadwater Parklands on the Gold Coast.  In 2002, one of Australia’s most promising triathletes, Luke Harrop was tragically killed whilst on a training ride on the Gold Coast. A keen & dedicated sportsman, Luke was extremely popular within the Gold Coast community, and to honour Luke the Gold Coast Triathlon now carries his name.  In 2010 the GCT is expected to attract up to 2,500 participants.
