Noosa Tri registration opened for individuals this morning at 9am. The system is up & working. We are currently taking entries slowly. Courtney Atkinson added yet another silver medal to his collection when he was usurped in the final stages in an extraordinary performance from reigning world champion Alistair Brownlee in round three of the Dextro Energy Triathlon – ITU World Championship Series in Madrid, Spain on the weekend.  

The response to Noosa Triathlon entries opening Tuesday morning was astounding to say the least. In its 28^th year the Noosa Triathlon has grown from a small event of 180 people and in recent years has proved itself to be a “must-do” event for thousands of Australians. This is an overwhelming result for the sport of triathlon, for Noosa and we at USM are proud to be able to deliver such a loved event.

We apologise for the inconvenience of the Noosa Triathlon online registration. We understand your frustration as this has been an important date in everyone’s diaries for a long time.  We have been very much let down by our IT provider who reassured us that they were prepared for the opening. Please bear with us as we try to resolve this problem and hopefully have it back up and running with the hour (as at 10.45am).

At midday today the decision was made to shut down the Noosa Triathlon entry system due to our web providers not finding a solution to the database crash this morning.  No entries were taken today as the server has been down from 9am this morning.  Entries have been postponed and the event is NOT full.  We will advise this afternoon via our website and enews when we will reopen for entries.  New measures will take a few days and entries unlikely to open until next week.  We will keep everyone informed as the situation progresses. We appreciate your patience.

Once you get your Noosa Tri entry locked, why not take your preparation to the next level and attend a Noosa Triathlon Training Camp.  With three Noosa Tri camps this year, and one of these an all women's camp, you will over the course of 3 days, dissect the Noosa Tri course with two-time winner, former Australian Triathlete of the year and Triathlon Australia Ironman Coach of the year Nick Croft.  Assisted by champion age grouper Jess Fleming and friendly knowledgable staff, campers will go away with everything you need to know to be your best at the 2010 Noosa Tri. Entries into the 2010 Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival will open online from 9am on June 1, 2010 and organizers are tipping entries into the triathlon will fill within hours.  Geoff Meyer, Managing Director of USM EVENTS, says the popularity of the triathlon is both exhilarating and challenging, with organisers working frantically to find more transition area to allow for hundreds of additional competitors each year.
