read full article All Roads lead to NoosaWe’d like to introduce you to Stu Fisher, our guest blogger for the 2010 Noosa Tri. Stu has only taken up triathlon recently in a bid to lose some weight and get the finish line at Noosa. We will follow his trials and tribulations on his road to Noosa over the coming months....In just over 3 months I will do something that no sane person would ever do. But fortunately, I’m one of 8,500 other insane people competing in the Noosa Triathlon. 51.5km of swimming, riding and running and all so we can get back to where we started from. But I’ve come a long weigh (sic) to get to this point. read full article Jazz Weekend Packages now available
read full article Noosa TRIATHLON EXPANDED & ADDITIONAL LOTTERY ANNOUNCEDWe have great news! Even though we had already increased the entry numbers for the 2010 Noosa Triathlon by almost 20% more than the 2009 event, the unprecedented increase in demand for the entries this year obviously took us by surprise and unfortunately we were unable to accept the thousands of people who wanted to compete this year. However we have been in constant discussions with the Local Council over the past few weeks in an effort to find more space in the existing transition area which would hopefully allow us to accept at least a few hundred more entries for the 2010 event. read full article WHERE ARE MY TICKETS?

Emma Moffatt was again shaded in a spectacular sprint finish but claimed the overall series lead after securing silver in the Dextro Energy Triathlon – ITU World Championship Series race in Hamburg, Germany. In what is becoming Groundhog Day for the reigning ITU world champion, Moffatt was less than a metre short of claiming her first major win for 2010, this time going down to Sweden’s Lisa Norden after the pair both recorded times of 1hr 53m 53s. Ireland’s Aileen Morrison claimed a breakthrough bronze just a few seconds back.
EQUITANA Melbourne, presented by The Weekly Times, is the one event that brings together every aspect of the equine community to one venue. Four days of prominent educators, international trainers, top riders, specialist clinics, multitudes of shopping possibilities, elite competition, endless entertainment and hundreds of beautiful horses all combine to create the most action packed event seen in Australia.

Australia will enter this weekend’s round of the Dextro Energy Triathlon – ITU World Championship Series with its four big guns fit and firing on what has historically been a happy hunting ground for those in the green and gold. Reigning ITU world champion Emma Moffatt completely dominated last year’s race to win by a minute on the crowd‐lined course in the German port city of Hamburg, while Emma Snowsill, who emphatically announced her return from injury with a win in the world’s richest race in the USA last month, secured silver in the world championship when she raced here in 2007.
Why not join us in Noosa to celebrate the start of spring and 20 years of Noosa Jazz? Tickets to all venues and performances are now on sale. The full program can be viewed and downloaded at
