The start location for the Noosa Century 100km Cycle has been confirmed for the Cooyar Street Carpark, Cnr of Lanyana Way, Noosa Junction. Please note, the start for the 100km Cycle is different from the 160km Cycle Start. It does NOT start on Noosa Parade. Check-in for the Noosa Century 100km Cycle will be available at Cooyar St Carpark for a limited period from 6.30 – 7.30 am. Make use of the Saturday Check-In in Festival Village, Lions Park Noosa Heads. It will be open 12noon – 5.00pm to collect your event kit. 


It’s Noosa’s May Fiesta time and the new Noosa Winter Festival comes to town this weekend! With more than 5000 swimmers, cyclists and runners expected to head to Noosa on 22nd & 23rd May, this event is one not to be missed! Make sure you check the Noosa Winter Festival Acceptance List to ensure that you are registered in the festival and registered in the correct event. Roxie Schmidt is hoping it will be fourth time lucky on May 23 as she attempts to claim an elusive title at the Noosa Half Marathon that has thus far eluded her. In 2007 she finished second in the 10km, 2008 came agonizingly close in the half marathon finishing 9 seconds behind Helen Stanton, and last year was beaten by the great Tanzanian runner Sarah Maja. Schmidt, from Moffatt Beach is looking to claim the crown not just for herself but the Sunshine Coast community. It would be the first time a local woman has achieved such a feat.
As the Sunshine Coast public showed its community spirit for the athletes of the Mooloolaba Tri, so too did they show their support for Bloomhill Cancer Help at the Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival this year, raising over $4,500 for the charity. The sunny weather and fantastic race events encouraged both competitors and the public to support the local charity throughout the festival weekend of March 26-28.
