The Gold Coast Tri - Luke Harrop Memorial is now the SERIES GRAND FINAL to the 2009/10 Gatorade Queensland Tri Series, set at the newly developed Broadwater Parklands on the Gold Coast. In 2002, one of Australia’s most promising triathletes, Luke Harrop was tragically killed whilst on a training ride on the Gold Coast. A keen & dedicated sportsman, Luke was extremely popular within the Gold Coast community, and to honour Luke the Gold Coast Triathlon now carries his name. In 2010 the GCT is expected to attract up to 2,500 participants. The event caters for participants of all ages and abilities with three distances on offer -

If the Mooloolaba Triathlon will be your first triathlon or you are reasonably new to the sport and you want some helpful hints, come along to one of two Tri Clinics being held on Saturday 27th March 2010. Run by Toby Coote, coach and founder of Sunshine Coast Tri Academy, these clinics will help iron out any queries you may have. Clinics are free to join but bookings are essential.
When cycle training involves riding alongside road trains in Western Australia the Mooloolaba Triathlon is going to be heaven for Shannon Hill. A couple of weeks ago Shannon, a Pool Manager from Wickham WA, scored herself a new Orca wetsuit as the winner of our Mooloolaba Ocean Swim Competition. “It was a huge surprise receiving the phone call from USM Events to tell me that I'd won the Orca Wetsuit. A big thank you to USM Events; this is an awesome prize. I'm sure whenever I wear it I'll be thinking of my first Mooloolaba Triathlon!”
